WINTER STORM WATCH

We woke up this morning to snow. Ethan wanted the blinds up (well, I wanted the blinds up once Ethan started pulling on them), and he stood there and watched it snow on and off throughout the morning. We have church at 1pm, and by then we had a good 6 inches (not that I had a ruler or anything...), thankfully the roads were clear. Ethan figured out how to push the doors open to get out of the chapel today - he took the "you can do it put your back into it" literally.

Neither of the nursery workers showed up today, and the other leaders who typically have keys forgot to bring them today - which meant the toys were locked away. Have you ever seen 15 kids, ranging from 18 months to 3 years old, sitting in a room with no toys, parents or snacks? Fair warning, it's not pretty. Noone was successful with breaking and entering the toy closets, so I took things into my own hands and went to the library to get some crayons & paper. It was genious for all of 3 minutes and then we went straight for the Baby Einstein DVD's that Kevin Whitten had in his car. Now THAT was genious! The Primary Pres. found some snacks - pretzels, raisins & corn checks, so we survived the 2 hours. Thankfully there were 2 other moms who stayed in there with me.

Ethan came down with a fever tonight - which I'm assuming has something to do with the 6-8 teeth he's currently trying to cut. I'm hoping he'll be able to sleep so that I can too, but I'm not counting on it.

Do you let Ethan listen to music like "you can do it put your back into it"? Keep that up and his nursery visits will turn into bishop's interviews. ;)
