DUE FOR A CHECK-UP

It's hard to believe that Ethan turned 18 months old yesterday. It's gone way too fast. We went to visit Dr. Susie today for his check-up, and he's holding steady on the charts - a whopping 25 Lbs (50% for weight) and 33 in (80th % for height). He screamed when they weighed him, which seems normal, I scream when I weigh myself too...so that explains that. ( : He was totally into the visit today - crinkling up the paper on the table, watching the nurses outside of our room talk on the phone and pass by with other kids, pouring over all the reading material provided...everything seemed right with the world until the Dr. entered the picture. He wasted no time jumping off the table straight into my lap. Silly kid. We made it through with no major problems. He only had to get his flu shot today & the best news of the day...I don't have to wait in any more Dr's offices (I hope) until he's 2. Fabulous!
Tonight was game 1 of the World Series - Colorado Rockies -vs- Boston Red Sox. We had the gang here to watch, Grandpa & Grandma Madden, Mom & Dad Woolley & our little clan. Thanks to Dad Woolley, we all sported Rockies paraphanalia...even the smallest of fans was well outfitted. The Sox slaughtered the Rockies - hopefully the series will get a little better. It's difficult for Scot to root for anyone but the Sox, but he's doing his darndest to try to keep his Colorado pride. ( : Ethan's also traded out his Red Sox hat for a Rockies hat for the series, thanks Grandpa Steve! Ethan gives his new gear a hearty thumbs up.

Ethan had a hard time watching the game, and as you can see he made it hard for Grandma Judie to watch too...she was such a good sport - he had her sweeping the kitchen with both of his hats on. Punishment? I'm not sure, I think it was a symbol of something the Rockies lost for us tonight.

Ethan couldn't bring himself to watch the entire game (can you blame him?) - so he retired early. Lucky boy.

On a lighter note, we're looking forward to having our Red Sox fans - Shauri & Travis Quinn - here with us this weekend. We seriously can't fault them for their love of the Sox...but we won't openly admit that until the series is over. GO ROCKIES.

that whole screaming when you way yourself bit? Good material, Kris. I laughed out loud and read it to my receptionist. ;) Wow, Grandpa Steve really went all out. So fun.

I didn't know Travis and Shauri were staying with you - I'm so jealous! Good thing I have this blogging addiction so I can keep up with my family's lives.
