If you want my opinion, it's that none of the Dr.'s that are treating Scot seem to be able to figure out what the problem is. Yet another day with no conclusive news...yup, seems pretty strange to us too.
Scot had a few issues arise last night - after a respiratory test, they ended up having to put him on oxygen to get his levels back up to normal. He also had tachycardia (rapid heart rate) & tachypnea (rapid breathing) for a short time, so they've monitored him to watch that all day today (no recurrence that I'm aware of). From our conversations today, he seems to be doing a little better than he has in a while. They have him on 3 or 4 different antibiotics - so hopefully that will help to take care of something. It's Scot's 4th night in the hospital, & hopefully his last. We're keeping our fingers crossed that they'll be able to discharge him tomorrow (they said that if they can get the symptoms under control, they'll be able to discharge him, even if they don't know exactly what the problem is. They're still waiting for some of the blood work to come back...which is what happens when blood samples are taken and sent out everyday).
Scot hasn't allowed me to visit him since Monday night/Tues morning when we left him at the ER. He's been worried because we haven't known what was wrong & he's trying to be cautious just in case it's viral (which we highly doubt). I can completely understand his reasoning - he doesn't want Ethan to be exposed to something IF it's contageous, so I've been granting his wish to stay away. Having one healthy parent is a necessity, if at all possible. That's it from my end for tonight. As usual, we'll hope to have some actual information tomorrow, otherwise I'll start watching old episodes of House to see if I can figure it out on my own.
Thanks again for all the comments, calls, thoughts, prayers & well wishes. We are grateful to have such amazing family and friends.

Hopefully today is the day. Get Matt on those charts....he'll could diagnose him with his eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back. ;) You're all in my prayers.
We have been checking regularly and praying that all is well. I am sure you are all getting a little stir-crazy and wanting some answers...thanks for updating even when there is nothing to update on!
Seriously, this should be an episode on House. I have no doubt that you could diagnose him, you are brilliant:) I wish I lived in Colorado so I could keep you company.
I can't believe you haven't been able to go in to see him since you took him in -- that would be so hard! Maybe you should ask his doctors to consult Matt on the matter. Have you talked to him about it? He should have his own show, but he's much too kind to everyone to have a plot like House. :) We're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers too. Love you guys!
