Where are the lights at Temple Square when you need them? I know the answer to this question - they're still in SLC where they always are...I simply wish they were closer. Ethan is obsessed with Christmas lights, it's all he thinks about from the moment he wakes up till the moment those beautiful blue eyes close. This morning, I brought him downstairs to fix him some breakfast - but he looked at me and said "Car" followed by the words "more" and "lights". I tried to explain that people don't turn their lights on when the sun is out - but he didn't want to hear it. Sigh. I'm on the fast track to holiday decorating so that we'll have plenty of our own lights up to enjoy. That moment won't come too soon (I've been working on the banister garland today).Whenever we get into the car, his first word is "MORE" and his second word is "lights" or some form thereof (more like "ights"). I typically drive the back route in and out of our neighborhood in lieu of taking the freeway because there are so many more lights - I made the freeway mistake once & heard the word "No" at least 100 times after making the mistake of asking him if he could see any lights. He let me know the entire way home that he couldn't see any...believe me, I won't let that happen again.
Thankfully the holiday spirit is really spreading around our neighborhood and more and more lights appear everyday (I am aware of each and every new light addition - we drive the neighborhood every night before bed). I'm excited for Christmas with Ethan this year if this is any indication of what we're in for - he's so much fun.
