THE "S" IS FOR...

"SUPERSTAR" - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARA! I know, you want a copy of this photo...and your wish shall be granted. You're amazing, and we love you! We hope you are well celebrated on your big day. ( : (If this picture doesn't scream life of the party, just keep lookin).

"STINKER" - I made another trek to the grocery store today & happened upon a smaller version of the car cart for Ethan to drive (smaller is relative...). Today's version was red and yellow & the child, in this case Ethan, basically "drove" the cart behind him (instead of in front, as seen with the blue car cart in my previous post). I was a little nervous, as there was no buckle in this particular cart, but figured Ethan would be so excited to be "driving" that he would be well behaved. WRONG! The driving worked for the first 5 minutes, but then the experimentation phase set in & he stood up on the seat so he could stick his head out the "windshield". He did this repeatedly throughout our time in the store - and each time his smile got bigger. What a stinker! Finally I wised up & took him out of the car and strapped him into the child seat near me - I thought it would be seen as a punishment of sorts & might actually teach him a lesson, but it didn't phase him a bit. Oh well.

"SHARP" - Tonight after dinner, Ethan got his hands on some paper & a very sharp pointed pencil. Ordinarily, I'm very supportive of his interest in drawing, but I prefer to have him sitting down in his high chair or someplace where I don't have to worry about him running or tripping while holding said object. I was particularly worried because he was holding the tip of the pencil pointing up towards his face - so I said "Turn it around Ethan". He understood the gist of the statement, but not in relation to the pencil - so he started turning around and around in circles. How could we help but laugh?

Wow...could you get me the name and number to Cara's fashion consultant? Whoever they are, what a gift! She's a vision in fuschia. Happy Birthday to Cara. ;)
