After updating his calendar and making a few calls from the office (top photo), he took a good long nap, we ate lunch & were off
to run a bunch of errands. We visited the coughing woman at the post office (who claimed her cough was not contageous because it was due to "allergies"), the bank, library & dry cleaners. By the time we got home, I was the one in need of a nap, but instead I opted to get a couple loads of laundry done so that Ethan would have some clean PJ's tonight. I know, I'm a nice mom. ( : As I sorted the laundry, Dylan's recently refilled water bowl called to Ethan...and he answered. He was quickly removed from the room (crying I might add) so that I could soak up the standing water with another 3 towels. Sigh. Why me? (Don't answer that...)
In addition to Ethan's affinity for water, he's also fond of letting out high pitched screams when he wants something - it happens regularly these days, but seems hardest to ignore while I'm driving (maybe it's the close proximity). He typically wants my keys, which naturally belong in the ignition while the car is in motion. I liken it to being in the shaggin' wagon with Lloyd Christmas (a.k.a. Jim Carey) when he lets Harry hear the most annoying sound in the world (please refer to the movie Dumb & Dumber). Trying to reason with Ethan is futile, but for whatever reason, I try anyway. Sometimes I'm lucky - today was not one of those days.
While we were playing in the yard tonight, I followed Ethan to the side of the house & noticed a nest behind our satellite dish. Free rent AND satellite coverage. Smart bird.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a day with dry floors and whispers...but I doubt it.

oh my goodness, walker does the same thing - the cute, scratch that, I can't lie, annoying high pitch screech. You described it perfectly...just like lloyd christmas. At least now I'll have a chuckle when he screeching think of dumb and dumber. i just hope it doesn't carry into high school, things could be awkward. :)
Wow...do you think your bird friend is looking for a roommate? All the amenities one could ask for! As for little E-train...I'm exhausted just reading about him. Do you have any vacation days or sick time you haven't used for the year yet? Cause you should cash in. Oh wait...This is why I'm fine with being single and working. ;) Love.
