Ordinarily, this would've been no big deal, but this time he managed to touch the rear view mirror & knocked it off the base holding it to the windshield. WHAT? I know - that's what we were thinking...the guy that replaced my windshield a few months ago clearly did not mount it correctly. After a good laugh, we tried to reconnect the dangling mirror to the base - Ethan even acted as "Grandpa's helper", but it wasn't as easy to fix as it appeared to be. We managed to get it to hold up for the time being, but it will require a trip to the dealership tomorrow for some fixing.
Grandpa did let Ethan take the flashlight home with him for the time being - it made for a less tearful departure. It was like driving a disco Cruiser home with the flashlight motion going in the backseat. When we got home, I found Ethan sitting in the dark office on Scot's fishing bag watching the light move along the desk. Funny kid. Thanks for providing a great deal of evening entertainment Grandpa!

LITTLE HELPER
Scot's been down in Colorado Springs for Regional Manager meetings the last couple nights, so Ethan and I have been on our own. Today we went to the Farmers market to get some fresh produce & more peaches - it's the last week they'll have them, so we really stocked up.
Grandpa Steve called to see if Ethan and I wanted to go to dinner, which was extremely nice of him considering that he's getting ready to go to Boston tomorrow to meet up with Grandma Judie, Cara et.al. We had dinner at Angie's, a delicious little restaurant in downtown Castle Rock. Ethan opted to sit next to Grandpa in the booth instead of sitting in a high chair & to show his 17+ month old maturity, he unwrapped the silverware & put the cloth napkin in his lap. So cute. Did I mention that Grandpa also shared his rootbeer with Ethan? A very daring & loving gesture when you know floaties are an extreme possibility. Ethan was in heaven! (The photo is of Ethan eating his Ritz cracker "appetizer" as we waited for dinner to arrive - no need to bite it into pieces when you can eat it whole. Might I also mention that Ethan is obsessed with wearing his Red Sox hat).
Grandpa Steve rode in the back seat with Ethan both to and from the restaurant. When we pulled up to drop Grandpa off, Ethan was a little upset that
he wasn't free, so while Grandpa and I finished our conversation, I thought it would be ok to let Ethan sit in the front seat next to me.
