Ethan has been on a roll tonight. He woke up from an afternoon nap fully refreshed with serious bedhead, but still ready to party. He didn't waste any time trying to help me prepare for dinner by getting out some placemats - and he worked really hard trying to get them onto the table. I like to see him trying to help out at such a young age, let's hope that continues. During dinner, he even whipped up his own meal 
replacement drink (yuck).As soon as he was free from the chair that bound him, he climbed up onto the couch and sat with his legs out straight in front of him. He worked to get a throw pillow positioned in just the right spot on top of his lap before making "calls" on his cell phone & our home phone (one for each ear). He'd then say "hello hello hello" repeatedly
(to make sure the other party was listening) and then he'd strike up a serious sounding conversation. He's totally catching on.Just about the time I was going to get him ready for bed, he emerged from Scot's office wearing some sunglasses & headed for his little car. I could tell he thought he was looking pretty cool - which he was. I lucked out and captured the perfect shot of Ethan making the sign for "car", complete with sound effects.
OHHHH, and by the way - Happy 8th Birthday to Connor!! We're so excited to hear all about your baptism. We hope all your birthday wishes come true, pollo loco!
