RUBBER DUCKIE, YOU'RE THE ONE

I love watching Ethan interact with his rubber duck in the bathtub...they seem to have a very special realtionship. He chases it around the water and squeals everytime he catches it. (I think that must be genetic, I imagine that's what Scot does when he lands a big fish, am I right?). Everyday I tell myself that I need to get some pictures, and today I finally did.

Ethan and I spent the day running errands - we went to vote, exchanged Scot's prenatal vitamins (that he accidentally bought) for the "every man" vitamins at Wild Oats (imagine trying to explain that to the checker), stopped in at Best Buy to pick up the newly released movie Cars, picked up the dry cleaning and the business mail at the UPS store. I think it's safe to assume that Ethan was tired of getting in and out of the car by the time we got home. He's graduated from the carrier infant seat, so errands are a little more involved now. He was so good all day, as usual.

Ethan rolled from his back to his stomach yesterday (Monday). He had been so close for quite some time but was always able to get what he wanted without actually rolling over, so I set toys that I knew he loved way out of his reach and he went for them. He's figuring out how to move to get things more and more everyday, which is fun but I know my days of sitting still are numbered.

I've been on the phone a couple times in the last 2 days with the Medical Assistants at Ethan's Dr's office...he's been a little plugged up, so we're hoping that some of their magic baby remedies help (dark Karo syrup in water or straight apple juice). Poor kid, I'm sure he'll thank me someday for sharing.

Ethan has been sucking on his bottom lip the past week or two (which I did as a kid). My guess is that his version is more related to teething than comfort, though I have yet to feel any teeth (thankfully). I absolutely LOVE the faces he makes. I tried to capture it today - I think it's more adorable in person, but you get the general idea.

That's it from this end on Election Day 2006.

did you try the glycerine? I'm telling ya it's fool proof!

I hate it when they're out of the car seat but still have to face backwards...it's so annoying! ;(
