DADDY'S LITTLE DUDE

I found this t-shirt at Old Navy and for many reasons it reminded me of Scot. The word "Dude" seems to come very easily to Scot - it's used most often when he and Jared (Allen, not Hansen) are talking about fly fishing. Becky always says that Scot reminds her of the turtles in Finding Nemo, they're totally laid back dude. Oh how I love my Colorado boy.

Ethan always gets the biggest smile when he sees Scot walk through the door - he loves his daddy. Tonight, Scot was holding Ethan upside down, blowing on his neck (a very daring stunt when you have a baby that spits up). Ethan laughed and laughed, & to our surprise, it was an activity that did not result in spit up.

Yesterday I put Ethan down for his mid-morning nap, which he protested for a few minutes & then everything went quiet. I made the assumption that he had fallen asleep and went up to check on him about 15 minutes later. It seemed like he was having more of a fiesta than a siesta. He had rolled onto his stomach & I could see the top of his head through the end of the crib, one arm out the side & a one of two pacifiers in the middle of the floor. (I'm not sure if you can see his head in that top left photo, but it's 3 rungs from the left). He was certainly doing a fine job of entertaining himself and in the end, there was no mid-morning nap. I found him doing the same thing this morning, but the party didn't last long...he was too tired.

Ethan and I spent Sat. evening and Sunday at the Woolley's while Scot was in Wyoming fly fishing. At church Sunday, Ethan enjoyed sitting on the bench next to Grandma & when he started to get restless, I stood him up and he held on to the back of the bench unassisted & watched the kids behind us for quite some time. Scary, isn't it? He loves doing Shara Shava (I have no idea how to spell it, but he sure likes doing it) with Grandma & Grandpa - he's a real ham & certainly loves all the attention.

We're gearing up for Thanksgiving - I'll be making the Woolley family jello tomorrow & a veggie on Thurs. (both easy assignments). Our realtor is planning on doing an open house Friday and Saturday to get as much holiday traffic through the house as possible - which means that the Woolley's will have house guests AGAIN. (So sorry...we are extremely thankful for the frequent lodging & hospitality.) Scot and I are celebrating our 3rd anniversary this weekend (a few days early) - dinner and an Ave's game...should be fun. Grandma and Grandpa Woolley are nice enough to watch Ethan for us for a few hours - hopefully it's a positive experience.

That's it for now. I'm off to bed.

Yes, I think we should start calling Scot "Crush". Dude.
