HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY

It's hard to believe that its already been 5 years since Scot and I got married, but here we are...2 kids later and still going strong.

Scot surprised me this morning with a beautiful Tag Heuer watch for our anniversary - what did I get him? Nothing. Well, that's not entirely true, I just didn't have it in my posession yet. He got a piece of framed artwork - The Prayer at Valley Forge (George Washington) that he'd mentioned wanting a while ago...but it got here a month late. The watch beat the art hands down. Thanks Scot - you spoil me.

We celebrated tonight by enjoying a night out on the town. Scot's parents watched Ethan while we went to dinner (we took Brynn), and then we came home and put the kids to bed so that we could venture back out baby free. Scot's parents were sweet to stay with both kids while we went to a movie (our first movie kid free since Brynn was born).

Aside from the amazing watch, Scot scored some serious kudos:

First: Scot took me to see Twilight. I know he had no desire to see it himself, but he took me to see it anyway. We were kid free - it would've been totally reasonable to request that we go see a movie that would've been suitable for both of us, but no - we went to see the vampire romance movie. ( :

Second - he didn't complain. I will say, the movie was a little disjointed for someone who hasn't read the book (Scot asked very good questions and I did my best to explain). It wasn't exactly a high budget film, but I still loved it. The director and screen play writer could've provided some further character development to make it easier to follow, but whatever.

As with every relationship, there are ups and downs - but I'm so thankful to have you, and our two beautiful children, in my life. Thank you for a fabulous 5 years Scot! I look forward to a lifetime of memories with you. I love you! Happy Anniversary!

Now, for the sake of keeping my family documentation going, I spent the morning playing in the snow with Ethan & Dylan. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.
