GETTIN' CRAFTY...KIND OF

The past little while, I've been trying to do some crafts with Ethan as an activity to break up our day. Yesterday, we made hand turkeys (or whatever you might call them) to kick off the month of November (albeit a few days in, but still semi-timely). Ethan was more interested in the gluestick and scissor portions of the craft making than anything else, which held true for today as well. If only the whole world could be "chomped and glued", as Ethan would say, it would be a happy place. When lunch time rolled around, he asked me to set his plate of PBandH to the side and in all seriousness he said "not now Mom, I'm working on my crafts".

Today, whenever I would ask to use the glue to complete a portion of our project, Ethan would wait patiently for a few seconds and then ask very politely "Mom, can I please have the gluestick back so I can work on my craft for just a minute". Now how is that for good manners at 2 1/2?
