Well, whoever was dreamin of a white Christmas got their wish here in Colorado. We woke up to a beautiful, white winter wonderland, & the snow didn't let up all day. We got up early and got ready cause Santa didn't stop at our house this year - he dropped everything off at Grandma Judie & Grandpa Steve's house just up the road. We didn't want to make Sam and Jacob wait too long, so we quickly made our way over there so the party could get started. The kids sat on the steps for a picture (just as we always did growing up) before we let them loose on the Santa gifts & stockings. By the time I made it down the stairs with my camera, Ethan was done sitting. ( :

Santa brought Sam & Jake both spiderman shooters (I'm not sure if that's really what they're called, all I know is that they are technically advanced in comparison to the wooden toys they made when we were kids). Ethan ran straight for the tricycle...good thing it was his. ( : He didn't want to get off of it, so he just pushed himself around the room to check out everyone elses toys. Great Grandma Jerri & Great Grandpa Bob both tried to give Ethan a tutorial on how to use the pedals, which he greatly

enjoyed. So cute.
We are so happy that Scot's youngest sister, Tiffany & her family (Jared, Sam & Jacob) came out for Christmas this year. We love having them here. Great Grandma Jerri & Grandpa Bob were also able to join in the festivities this year as well, which is also a real treat...they're usually in Arizona enjoying the warm weather. Grandma Jerri reminded us many times how cold it was in Colorado at Christmas, no doubt she's looking forward to leaving Colorado behind to fly south for winter. ( :

While Grandma Judie & Great Grandma Jerri finished up the breakfast preparations, the 3 boys decided to do a dress rehersal of the Three Wise Men . We won't be acting out the nativity story tonight as planned cause some of Aunt Marcia's family is a bit under the weather - but the boys wanted to do a quick run through. Adorable. Ethan brought a spade as an extra offering...which didn't actually make it into the biblical story, but I'll bet Joseph wished he would've had one while they were staying in the manger.

After we stuffed ourselves with a delicious breakfast, we made our way to the gifts under the tree. Ethan kept his focus for a few minutes, opening gifts - but he disappeared after a few minutes & I found him back in the family room sitting on his

bike. At least he loves it. We coaxed him back to the party & opened up his shark tent so he could keep himself busy for a while. He was in there for the majority of the morning. The boys had a great time playing together today...and were really good at sharing with one another, which was even better.
Thanks to everyone for the thoughtful gifts - we had a very Merry Christmas, and hope you did too.
