SEA WORLD

...made a believer out of me. I love Sea World. I've never been before, but I can tell you that I will return. We went to the Shamu "Believe" show when we first arrived, which was amazing. Brynn and Ethan were enchanted from the moment the show began. At one point, Brynn stood up behind Ethan and hugged him around the shoulders - it was one of my favorite moments of the day watching them adore each other. There were 4 massive killer whales doing amazing tricks. I am still trying to figure out how they train them.
We went straight from the Shamu show to the Sea Lion show so that we could get the auditorium events out of the way
while the kids still had some kind of attention span. It was the perfect idea, and the Sea Lion show was very entertaining for everyone.
Ethan and Brynn stood at the railing and laughed, danced and clapped for every trick. So cute.
On our way to the sea lion auditorium, we kept passing people with their Shamu cups. Ethan could not stand the thought of not getting one for himself. We all enjoyed the refreshing beverage...and I enjoyed carrying the Shamu cup around for the remainder of the day.

From there, we stopped by to watch the dolphins, and then went to ride the rides in the Sesame Street section. After yet another very full day, we finally decided it was time for us to head home. What a day. GORGEOUS weather - at least 76 degrees, sunny blue skies.
Scot and I were both bummed that the dolphin show wasn't running. From what we've learned, they're building a new dolphin stadium and the show doesn't open till May. Next time...next time.
Oh yeah, and the kids loved it as well, which is what the whole point of it was anyway (well, almost the whole point). It's been an action packed vacation - but everything has been so much fun. One more full day and then Monday morning, we fly out of San Diego and return to our real life. If only the San Diego weather would follow.
