WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT?

Brynn was so cute eating her carrot wheels this afternoon, I just couldn't resisit the photos.

This morning, Ethan came into our room at 6:30 (earlier than usual). He climbed up on the bed and asked me if I would turn on a show for him...which I declined (because I was still wanting to sleep). I told Ethan that he could snuggle with me, or go and play in his room for a little while. He opted to snuggle. A few moments later, Ethan said "What are you thinking about Mom?" to which I replied "I'm thinking that I love you and that I'm still really sleepy." Then he said under his breath "what are you thinking about?", which I took as a hint to return the question. I then asked him what he was thinking about and he made a little sigh and said "Home Depot."

Later in the day, I was laying down on my back with Brynn watching Ethan spin around and around on the office chair. He was thrilled that he had an audience and then said "Mom, while you and Brynn are laying there, you should think about the Home Depot."
There seems to be a Home Depot theme lately...I know he loves going there with Scot, but apparently he loves it more than I ever imagined.
I've noted in prior posts that Ethan has been on a kick lately where he has hand motions to how much he loves you. I finally got pictures so that someday he'll be able to know what he did. I can't capture in still photography the "I love you to the open and close" because there is motion to that, but imagine going straight from "love you to this much" to "love you to this little" over and over again. Hence the open and close. ( :

I love you to this much.

I love you to this little.

I now use his version of love to the open and close to capture him in a hug. He has since named it the hug trap. ( :
