Tonight as we were finishing up dinner, Ethan left the table and returned with one of my mixing bowls on his head. He told me it was his worker hat & then was telling me the list of work items that he had to do, like nailing the stairs and pouring concrete etc. The more he talked, the more Brynn squealed. I'm not sure what she liked more, the bowl on his head or just seeing her brother in action. As I got up to leave the table, Ethan stopped me and said "Mom, I need to get you a worker hat too" and he returned with another big black mixing bowl for me. How can I deny wearing a worker hat for Ethan when he looks at me with those big blue eyes and asks me with his adorable voice? I can't get enough of this kid. After we were done working and dancing to well known hammer themed songs (there was no MC Hammer involved...thankfully), i.e. Indigo Girls song Hammer and a Nail and Peter Paul and Mary's song, If I Had a Hammer, I sat down at the computer to check out some new pics of my friend Robin's beautiful baby Shelby. Ethan came in, put his hand on my leg and said "I love you sweetie pie". Where did I get this kid? He's a dream. ( :
Brynn has been adorable as well. She's so happy - perfectly happy. She's a real cuddler and whenever she's with me, she will rub my face with her smooth, perfect little hands and give me snuggles. I love my little girl. She's always quick with smiles and laughs and puts up with a lot of extra special "loving" that she gets from Ethan. They are the best of friends, I hope they always will be.
Tonight, we were looking at pictures as they came across our screensaver. A photo of Dylan came up and Ethan said "that's Dylan. He's my puppy. He's my friend."
