We are finally starting to potty train Ethan. We went to Target today to get some potty training underwear (amongst many other things), and a prize of Ethan's choice that he'll be rewarded with once he no longer wears diapers. He had been talking about finding a Mader truck (as in Mader from the movie Cars). When we got there, I could not find any Mader trucks anywhere...and I wasn't really in the mood to go in search of one at Toys R Us, so I walked him up and down every aisle until he found THE prize. Any guess what he chose (when he could choose ANYTHING he wanted)? Yup, another firetruck. I couldn't believe it. I walked up and down the aisles again to make sure that there wasn't anything else I could entice him with, but he only had eyes for the firetruck. The entire time we walked through Target, he kept saying "Can you open my firetruck now? Can you take it out of the box, cause I just want to hold it for a little while. Can I go on the big boy potty so I can have my firetruck?" It was something I've never experienced before...the repetitive question. I kept trying to explain that he couldn't have it until he learned how to use the big boy potty all by himself...all the time.
There are a few days that I missed, and I have photos that I can't leave out of my journal for the kids, so here are a few things from days past.
1/18 - Ethan and Brynn looked so cute, I just couldn't resist.

1/17 - It was such a beautiful day, that we decided to go to the park to play for a little while. Ethan wanted to wear his snow boots because he felt like there was still enough snow on the ground to merit wearing them to the park. He was right about needing boots - although rain boots would've been better.
