This morning, Ethan asked me to help him build something with his Ideal Blox (which are really fun by the way - thanks Aunt Marcia). He pointed at a picture that he wanted me to help him build, and I almost had the thing built when Ethan decided to add one of his Little People to the building. Needless to say the blox fell over...so I started again. After trying to build it a few times and having him knock it over time and time again, I finally decided that I would let him do it on his own. I laid back to play with Brynn, but Ethan wanted none of that...this was our exchange:
E: Come on Mom, you need to help me build this.
M: I've been trying to help you build that, but you keep knocking it over.
E: You can do it Mom, I know you can. You just have to be patient.
I loved watching Ethan and Brynn interact today. Ethan got his shirt wet while he was eating lunch (or perhaps, playing with his water) and insisted that I take it off him. Brynn had just finished up and was still chillin' in her highchair while I finished doing the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen, and she was ready to get down, that is until Ethan came over to keep her entertained.
Ethan had Brynn totally laughing and cooing at him - it was absolutely adorable. I love to watch them play together, and particularly love the way that Brynn looks at Ethan - she adores her big brother.
