MILESTONES

Brynn rolled over for the first time today! We were in the living room changing her out of her church clothes. After I had her dressed, I let her lay there and kick cause she was so happy - and in the midst of all her enthusiasm, she flipped from her back to her stomach and then started squeeling louder and kicking her feet harder. She was SO proud of herself (honestly, I'm sure she hardly knew what had happened)

- One of my favorite new phrases Ethan has been using lately is "Can I see that for a just a little minute?" He needs everything for "just a little minute". It's so funny.

- I bore my testimony in sacrament meeting today. Ethan stood on the bench to watch me the entire time, and as I finished and was headed down the aisle towards our pew, Ethan blurted out "Good job Mom!". Needless to say, our section of the chapel had a good laugh.

- I was sitting in the office doing a little work on the computer when Ethan came in with a piece of his sandwich for a quick visit. He left the crust next to me on the desk and left the room. Dylan entered, sniffed out the unwanted crust and before I could react, he had consumed it and retreated. I went to tell Scot that Dylan had eaten part of Ethan's sandwich, and noticed that Dylan had sought protection from trouble at Ethan's side. When Ethan heard that his unwanted crust was gone, he looked at Dylan with disappointment and said (with finger pointed) "Dylan, you know better than to eat my sandwich. Go on."

- One Saturday morning, while the family was sitting around eating breakfast, Scot said "Do you know how much I love you Ethan?

Ethan: no

Scot: I love you all the way past the moon...that's a lot huh?

Ethan (after a slight pause): Dad, I love you to the Home Depot...the REAL Home Depot.

How's that for love?

- I asked Ethan if he would put his hand in my hand so that I would have a good idea what size gloves to get him when I went Christmas shopping. He put his hand on mine and this was our exchange:

Me: Ethan, I need to see how big your hands are

Ethan (putting his hand on top of mine): My hands aren't big, my hands are little. They're little like my head and my belly, and your neck. (he paused then somewhat laughing said) No, your neck isn't little, it's big - like your mouth.
