CHRISTMAS EVE

We went to Grandma Judie and Grandpa Steve's for their traditional Woolley family Christmas Eve dinner tonight. Grandma had made her chicken dumpling soup and clam chowder...amongst many other delicious things. They clearly put a lot of work into tonight (so THANK YOU!!). After dinner, Grandma Judie had planned something very special for Ethan. She had purchased a little nativity set, and wrapped each individual piece, so that Ethan got to open gifts containing the characters as they appeared in the Christmas story. It was a huge hit! Ethan was much more engaged in the meaning of Christmas, and he loves his new nativity set.

Brynn was her usual happy self tonight. Of course, she has no idea what kind of chaos tomorrow will bring, but next year - look out Christmas.

We never did take Ethan and Brynn over to sit on Santa's lap this year (not that we didn't think of it - we just ran out of time). I figured tonight, Dad was the next best thing. ( :
