BABY CARROTS

I hate baby carrots. I don't eat baby carrots, but they always leave stains - hence the dislike (and I'm pretty darn good at stain removal). When Ethan was a baby, I fed him carrots until he was used to the flavor, and then I opted most of the time to give him different veggies until he got teeth and could chew steamed carrots. With Brynn, I'm trying to give her an opportunity feel the carrot love - but after her first carrot experience, I'm reminded of how much I dislike them.
To avoid the stain removal nighmare, I stripped her down to a diaper and a bib before feeding. She moved quite a bit while we were trying to feed her - a lot of that had to do with Ethan moving a lot and Brynn trying to watch him. Reason #1 that in the end, she had a Ronald McDonald inspired carrot smile.

Brynn ended up being stained a little orange herself...but Ethan looked at her and said "she's not orange, she's perfect."

Gosh mom.. how could you not see that yourself? She is not orange. she is perfect! That is the cutest, sweetest thing for an older brother to say. I think these two shall be good friends. I am going to take note and when it is time to feed Shelby carrots, I will strip her down as well to just a diaper and a bib.. and maybe feed her in the bath tub! she is the cutest Ronald McDonald I ever did see.
