Ethan and I went to the airport to pick up Scot early this afternoon. After stopping for a quick bite to eat, we headed home to get Ethan down for a nap. The moment we walked into the house, Ethan looked at Scot and said "golf?"...which was his not so subtle hint that he wanted to swing some clubs with his dad. Scot abliged him - they got out a couple putters and we moved the coffee table in the living room & they went golf crazy. Scot got out a few golf balls and Ethan was moving those things around

the room like he was Tiger Woods. The kid is good - even with a putter that is twice his size. ( : The first item of business tomorrow will be some kid sized clubs. (ok, maybe not the FIRST item of business - but if we get a chance, we'll do it).
This isn't the first obsession Ethan has with one of Scot's hobbies...he has also become an avid flyfisherman wannabe. He'll walk around with his little fishing pole or a heart monitor band or anything else that somewhat resembles a pole/line type thing and will flip the line saying "forward and back", just as his dad has taught him. Boy, am I glad we'll be having a girl in July. I now need to go in search of some hobbies. ( :

Tonight, we were invited to go to Linda & Bruce Hancock's house for dinner and American Idol (Linda is Scot's assistant - you may have seen her in a previous post). Linda had her mom make us the most beautiful quilt for the new baby - all hand done. I'm amazed that her mom whipped this out in less than a week (HELLO!! The detail on this quilt is unbelievable). I've put a photo of it here, but believe me - no photo could do this quilt justice. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Linda & her mom for this priceless gift. We LOVE it!! Thanks for letting Ethan run wild through your house - you spoil us Linda (& Bruce).

That is a darling quilt! It looks like it was machine quilted. Do you know?
Linda said it was hand done by her mom.
