Ethan and I stopped by Babies R Us today to pick up a new booster seat (since he's too grown up to sit on anything BUT a big chair...). The baby girl clothing section just happened to be on our way back to the boosters, so we (actually, I) decided to stroll through to see what they had. I picked up an outfit to look at and Ethan got a big smile on his face and exclaimed "Ahhhh - CUTE!" We didn't end up buying any outfits, but he sure did point out some "cute" ones. ( :
Scot left to go out of town yesterday with our friend Rodman. They've gone down to Tucson to some golf/work thing that Rodman had down there...and he invited Scot to go along to participate in the golfing & to watch the pro tournament that is currently going on (it's apparently a big deal - so big that I have forgotten the name of it. If you're a huge follower of the PGA, I'm sure you're all over it). Rod's wife, Merideth and I decided to meet up for an early dinner tonight with our boys. We had a great time & the 3 boys (Jake, Nathan & Ethan) were somewhat wild, but kept eachother well entertained. By the end of the night, Nathan (2 1/2) was giving some subtle cues that he was ready to leave...like when he took his shoe off and threw it across the table, knocking over 2 glasses full of liquid (I'm not sure if it was Sprite, water or a combo of both - but it left things pretty wet). That's when we opted to hit the road. ( : You've just gotta love kids. Thanks for a fun night Merideth!

I'm amazed that you didn't buy something. It's so easy to fall in love with those cute little girl things. As for dining out with kids, without the help of the dads, you are very adventurous!
That is so sweet that Ethan was saying that about the clothes. He is going to be a good older brother. If only we adults didn't have to be so subtle about giving clues that we are ready to leave a certain party:)
