Which is how Ethan ended up with this massive shiner on his forehead. All I heard was a loud thud followed by crying. The only thought I had as I ran to pick him up was "please don't let it require stitches." With Scot out of town this weekend, the trek to the hospital would've been a nightmare on my own. Thankfully it wasn't THAT bad, but as you can see the door frame certainly left its mark. After a minute of comforting Ethan, it was as though nothing had happened. He was climbing on chairs, jumping off stuff - being a typical boy. Now that's true resilience.

I love the huge goose egg. Isn't it amazing how they just bounce back. If I had a bump like that on my head you can be sure I'd be in bed for a week. :)
That is a beauty! Mine have had a few good goose eggs before, but the pink and purple really makes this one pretty gruesome looking.
Wow, that is definitely a shiner to be proud of. I am glad that you didn't have to make the trek to the hospital by yourself. You should have come to AZ with Scot and stayed in Mesa:)
If I had a dime for every time walker had a shiner on his forehead...but I do have to say that one is pretty impressive. That's awesome it only hurt him for a sec, what a tough kid!
