6/13-6/17 Ethan and I headed for Utah to spend some time with Sarah, visit Uncle Mike's dentist office for a check-up (and filling) from my cousin Aaron (also a dentist - thank goodness), and hang with my cousin Maurine and the rest of the Jones clan. We had a great time.

Ethan and I got a tour of the Alta Club where Sarah works as the Fitness Director. That club is just as Sarah described - it's like walking into a real life version of the Clue boardgame.

The club has been around since 1883 and is apparently haunted (I put my money on Miss Scarlet in the billiards room with the rope). Sarah was kind enough to point out the 2 rooms on the third floor where there have been "experiences" with ghosts, and I chose not to stick around long enough to see if the rumors were true.

Ethan got some personal training time in with Aunt Sarah while we were there. She put him on the belly jiggler for a couple minutes to burn off the pretzel he ate on the flight to Salt Lake - worked like a charm. I was relieved to see that they still have some of these machines around...seems a waste to actually use a treadmill when this is an option.
6/14 - Day 2 of our visit we landed

ourselves at the local urgent care office after Ethan's eyebrow met the corner of a coffee table in Maurine's family room. The cut wasn't HUGE, but as head injuries will do - it bled like crazy. Sarah arrived right as Maurine and I were driving off, so we jumped out and took my rental car so that Maurine didn't have to leave her family. Ethan was fine once I was able to stop dabbing the blood off his face. Lucky for Ethan, he didn't have to have any stitches, but they did have to glue the Y shaped wound shut. I laid down on the bed/table and held Ethan on top of me so

that I could hold his arms down (he LOVED that, I can assure you). As the Dr. finished gluing his eyebrow together, she panicked for a second as she realized that her finger was sticking to the wound...nice. Ethan scored a plastic frog & an otter pop for being a perfect patient.

We participated with Maurine and her family in the "Fill the Ark" 1 mile walk/5k run activity their stake was putting on. I'm pretty sure that Ethan won for his age division - thanks to Maurine's stroller.

I know - it would've been much more impressive had he actually done the walking. Sigh - maybe in a few years. Ben raced Ethan throughout the walk, and at one point I think he wanted to be in the stroller right along with Ethan. (That was some kind of hill, huh Ben?)

Maurine is due with baby #7 in November...and I'm so excited for them. Ben (their youngest) is 6 and between Ben and Spencer (who is 8), they kept Ethan well

entertained throughout our stay. Ethan loved the trampoline (and I loved his super charged static hair), playing ball and running along side the boys. So cute. Thanks for letting us party at your house Maurine & Steve. We had a great time, as always.
