Joshua & Nathanial
Ethan and I spent most of the day running the shuttle for all the rafters and just hanging out with everyone. Scot was on his own fishing today, but before he left, we both decided that it wouldn't be safe for me to take Ethan down the river. He'll have to wait until he's a little older & has a little more swimming under his trunks, at least more than a "mom and me" swim class. Ethan was so good, despite the fact that he REALLY wanted to play on his own in the river.
Here's the crew that ventured down the class 3 rapid called the Big Kahuna. Apparently, it was a pretty crazy ride - the raft that was in front of them headed down the rapid folded in half. I'm sure that was less than comforting to watch that as they approached the drop - but they made it without losing anyone from the raft. From what they tell me, Cade was nicknamed "windshield" cause he sat front and center for most of the trip & therefore took the majority of the water. Rachel, however, sat in the windshield position for the big drop & once they were safely out of that rapid, she gave Cade his spot back.
Thanks Ang & Roy for such a fun day!
