FISH, SWIM, SPLASH

6/29 - * This title is for you, Sarah. ( :

My cousin Maurine and her family came into town for the week - her oldest son Andrew (17) was playing in a basketball tournament for the week, so the rest of the family decided to come too since we lived so close to the action. We had a great time with everyone & Ethan was thrilled to see his buddies Spencer and Benjamin again.

We took a trip with some of the clan to Pirates Cove - a children's water park in Englewood. Ethan, the child who typically can't get enough time playing in water, was a little overwhelmed by all the chaos & didn't enjoy the experience nearly as much as we thought he would. He starts swim class on 7/9, so I think that will help ease some of his stress. He did, however, love the lazy river which is were we spent the majority of our time. (He also loved his after swimming snack, which is what he was enjoying in the photo).

We went from the water park to one of Andrew's basketball games in yet another gym with no air conditioning. People may have thought we were still wet from Pirates Cove when in all actuality it was most likely sweat (ok, it wasn't THAT bad but it could've been). Ethan was flirting it up with Jordan (15)...it was hillarious.

I took Ethan outside to say goodnight to Scot tonight... he was out practicing his casting (for fly fishing) & Ethan suddenly became overly anxious to get his hands on the rod. Scot helped him cast for a few minutes and Ethan was in heaven. Looks like we've got another fly fisherman in the making.
