It was still too cold to play outside today, so I packed the kids up in the car and we headed over to the Wildlife Experience. There were a few school groups there which made things extremely chaotic. We started in the butterfly exhibit, where aside from being overwhelmed by the number of older kids running with reckless abandon through the maze, Brynn and Ethan enjoyed playing with all of the interactive displays. When we got into the Globeology section,
Ethan and Brynn were equally delighted to look at all the wildlife. As we wandered through the exhibits, Ethan, with great enthusiasm, would point at the largest and strongest looking animals and say "Hey Mom, I'm that one...for sure."
In the arctic exhibit, they have snow that falls from the ceiling. Brynn and Ethan both love this part every time we come. Brynn always looks somewhat confused as to why it's snowing INSIDE, but Ethan opened his mouth and tried to catch the falling snow. So sweet. They both had a fabulous time, and were so cute interacting with each other throughout the museum (thankfully).
On a side note, in an attempt to get some pics of the kids this morning so I could make a "warm wishes for a Happy Holidays" card. The kids had been in the bathtub for a while before I got my great idea & tried to get some pics...but neither of them were willing to cooperate at that point. I didn't have time to make adjustments to my lighting to actually get good pictures, but Ethan sure thought it was funny that I put a bow in Brynn's hair while she was in the tub.
The pics of Ethan were less than great - he kept covering himself with bubbles (there were quite a lot of them), and he and Brynn appeared to have bubble beards in almost every shot, which was not part of the plan. Sigh. There will not be any holiday cards from this photo shoot.

Kids just don't get any more adorable than that! Good job, Mom.
