Scot and I had a one on one session with the Mac people tonight to learn more about using iphoto...and it was very educational and informative. I was learning so much and having a marvelous time until the massive gas pains started in my stomach. I thought to myself, no big deal - I've given birth twice, I can certainly manage through this pain until we get home, but as I sat on the stool practicing my new mad skills of editing, I started to get that dizzy I think I'm going to pass out feeling, so I tried to hurry and wrap up our session to move on. Well, I stood up and quickly knelt down on the floor in a prayer mode because my world was spinning. Scot, who now says he wasn't embarrassed, wasn't quite sure what was going on, and the nice Mac store dude went to get me a glass of water, which I rather enjoyed...so thank you Mac man. I sat there under the counter for a few minutes, with my hot flashes wondering if I was going to be able to compose myself and make it out the door to the car, when I had that wave of nausea come over me. I kept asking Scot if he would get me a trash can, which he was not interested in doing - he just wanted to get me out of the store to a bathroom...but alas - he realized that I was not going to be able to do so and emptied out the Nordstrom bag of it's gifts and I continued to use said Nordstrom bag as a barf bag. EEEEWWWW. I must say, I felt much relieved afterwards and within moments (aside from the continuing stomach gas pain type cramping) I was up gathering my belongings to hurry out the door. That Mac guy really earned his pay tonight, as he offered then to remove the Nordstroms bag from the scene. Wow, now that is courage under fire. I must say, after getting home and taking a TUMS to calm the gas pains, I'm feeling like a million...I can't say the same for the Mac employee, he may not have been able to make it through the rest of his shift after hauling away the Nordstroms bag, but I applaud him for his bravery. BRAVO MAC MAN, BRAVO.
I can't wait for our next one on one in that store. Something tells me that they'll make note of this experience in our file. Next time, I'll make sure the bag is plastic, not paper. ( :
