It was freezing today. Typically, on a snowy day, I am all about bundling the kids up to let them go outside and play in the snow - but when it's 7 degrees and you have a wind chill that takes it below zero, I call that just too darn cold. Brynn has been trying to use more words lately, which is adorable, and this morning she was really pulling out all the stops. After I let Dylan out to go to the bathroom, she kept pointing outside saying "no", which clearly is how she says "snow". If we could get the s on there, everyone would be able to understand. ( : We sat near the sliding glass door, opening it occasionally to get another handful of snow for her to play with, and finally I decided that since we couldn't go outside,
While Brynn napped, Ethan asked if we could have a little FHE together (it's one of his FAVORITE things to do, and at his request, we have it daily...sometimes multiple times daily. songs and all). Today, he wanted our activity to be a game of Mario Kart. Let me start by saying, I am not much of a video gamer, which was obvious when I was trying to get the game started (duh). Ethan had to teach me how to get through the menus - it was hilarious. He guided me through each step by saying things like "now you need to press the A button Mom." The kid is 3...I'm 34. He has technology all figured out - which has its ups and downs. Today, it was a complete lifesaver. Thanks buddy.
I got Christmas up right after (and some of it before) Thanksgiving, and have wondered at certain moments everyday why I rushed to get my tree up so fast. Last year, it took me a while to get the ornaments on the tree (I had the tree up quickly), but this year, I got it all done in one day - ornaments, ribbons etc. We have had multiple ornament fatalities to date, and the tree is like a constant magnet for Brynn, who frequently is chased after to retrieve glass balls that have been pulled from the tree branches and taken for randsom. She always comes at me with this look of delight, and then when I start walking towards her she squeals and runs off so I will chase her. I do love her enthusiasm.
Brynn loves to carry the phone with her. If she happens to push a button that makes it ring, or if by chance it starts to ring with an incoming call, she is quick to carry it to me while holding it out FOR me saying "Mama". Pretty darn cute. I wish I could bottle these kids up and keep them like this forever - they're growing up way too fast. Savor every moment, they don't last long.

I love it! Snow in the tupperware. That's priceless. My kids all know technological stuff better than I do. Enjoyed the entry.
