My friend Liz Tannyhill called around 5 today from my driveway to say that she was taking her boys, Matt & Ben, & her daughter Lauren to Petsmart to see some frogs and snakes & wanted to know if they could take Ethan with them. Being the spontaneous mother that I am, I got started moving his carseat & decided that I should just pack the kids up in my car and follow them over, which I did. (Scot's was attending evening meetings, which made us extremely flexible). Just as we arrived at PetSmart, Ethan headed off with the troops
to check out the critters...well, actually his glove obsession got the better of him and he was drawn to the only glove sold in Petsmart. It was a cat lovers glove (clearly not made for me). The glove had extremely long wire fingers and little toys on the end for cats to pull on and play with. Ethan loved it (surprise surprise) and chased Lauren around the store trying to get her to wear one too. While I was busy watching Ethan, Liz was busy looking through the pet costumes trying to figure out which ones she wanted to try on Brynn...the pirate was by far her favorite & she insisted that we take a picture. ARRRRGGGGHHHH.
