ALL WE NEED FOR CHRISTMAS...

Is to find a new house. Our house has officially been on the market for 3 weeks and we received an offer today (they kind of low balled us, but we're counter offering...). Other than the money factor, it's a clean offer - which is great. We feel pretty blessed to have an offer at this point - not because we don't think our house is nice enough that it SHOULD sell this fast, but just because this is really the slow season for the real estate market & we know we're lucky. We'll see how it all goes. If they do accept our counter offer, they are asking that we close on January 19th. YIKES. That's a little faster than I had anticipated, and we still have to find a house in Castle Rock. We'll keep our fingers crossed that we'll find the right fit up there - if the house isn't empty we'll have to pray that another family could and would be willing to move on the same timeline. Scot keeps reminding me not to stress out because they haven't accepted our counter offer yet - but I can't help but think of all the things that have to be done with the holidays swiftly approaching. Sigh, I'm sure it will all work out the way it should.

Ethan is on the verge of crawling (I know I keep saying that - but it's true). He has been really testing out his "mamama" sound variations, but I don't know that he connects the "mama" to me yet, though he does nod yes when I ask him if I'm his mama. He nods yes more than no usually, so that doesn't mean much either. I took some photos of him last night in front of the Christmas tree but he was more interested in getting to the ornaments than getting his picture taken. One of his more frequent poses as of late reminds me little of curling (yes, the Olympic sport that noone watches...). It's not perfect form, but he has potential. The drool? Yeah, it's pretty constant these days.

I just had to take the bumper pads out of Ethan's crib tonight because he rolled over onto his stomach & was up on his knees with his head in the corner. I rolled him gently over onto his back a couple times and he ended right back where we began, so I thought it would be wise to remove the bumper pads if I actually wanted to sleep tonight.
I am close to finishing my Christmas shopping...just a couple more things to buy. It just dawned on me today when I was talking to Ted that Scot, Ethan and I are going to miss out on Christmas Eve church services due to our travel schedule...we'll have to make up for it at the pre-New Years meeting, maybe we'll stick around the chapel for an extra 3 hours (kidding). Speaking of Christmas, I have to go finish wrapping and packing up the boxes that I need to ship out tomorrow. I'll post an update on the house as soon I have news, for now I'm signing off.
