TAE KWON DO KICKS OFF

Ethan has been asking us for a couple weeks if he could take Karate. It may or may not have come from the re-watching of Kung Fu Panda...still not sure. Either way, we were happy to oblige when he mentioned having an interest. Oddly enough, Scot has a second cousin, Bryan Galke, who has a Taekwon Do school. Scot made arrangements with Bryan so Ethan could try out the classes to see if he liked it enough to enroll. He did. It was adorable to watch him experience this new class & really get into it.

There is a really cute little boy named Thomas who is just Ethan's age. They became fast friends. Looks like Tuesday and Thursday nights are now booked. ( : It is a bit of a drive to get over to Bryan's studio, but it'll be worth it.

I tried to get some pictures, but they were blurry and dark - the little point and shoot that I carry in my bag doesn't have a strong enough flash to reach that far. It wasn't only the flash, it was the lack of ability for the zoom to work at the distance from which I had to sit...AND they were moving - it was a triple whammy. We left there with his new Taekwon do gear and everything. (In the picture, he's the only one NOT wearing the uniform - he's in the front row wearing blue pants and a red shirt).

Brynn was a huge fan of watching - she was SO proud of Ethan and kept saying, "there's my Ethan!" I loved seeing the support and excitement she was willing to provide. I hope that continues throughout their lives.
