COLORADO ROCKIES GAME

PHOTOS TO COME...HOPEFULLY

Tonight, we went as a family to the Colorado Rockies game. Scot had tickets in the suite, so we packed the kids up for a fun family night...and boy was it. The excitement of the game itself wasn't really there for the kids for all that long - but Ethan's excitement about their mascot - a dinosaur named Dinger, was what it was all about. We stayed at the game till the top of the 5th inning, when Dinger came to visit all the kids in the suites. Ethan was first in line, and by far the most enthusiastic. He saw him coming down the hall and started waving, but then had to wait for another couple minutes before he actually came to visit with the kids. As the door opened, Dinger popped his head around & Ethan started waving both his hands and then ran towards him with arms wide open and gave him a huge hug. It was quite possibly one of the cutest things, and totally made my day. It was worth all the wiggling and restlessness in anticipation. I got these pictures of their meeting, and then returned to get an autographed Dinger baseball card for Ethan to take home. He showed that card to everyone he saw along our journey back to the car. So SO cute. Ethan kept saying "Dinger is my friend. He kissed my head and then ate my head and it was so hilarious. I'm going to see my friend Dinger again everytime I come here."

It was Brynn's first baseball game - & sporting event for that matter. She was a real trooper. She was completely mesmorized by her surroundings, and for the first 10 minutes pointed from thing to thing and then babbled happily. She wanted to tell us about everything. What a sweetie. Our suite was right next to the suite that had all the Miss Colorado contestants in it, and I thought it would've been funny to get a pic with Ethan and all the girls, but I decided I didn't care all that much.
