Brynn decided today that climbing 2 or 3 stairs was no longer enough -today, she went ALL the way up the stairs. She's been daring enough to stand up on step 1 or 2 for about a week now (she does hold onto the spindles, which doesn't provide much comfort, but at least she's holding onto something). Our stairs are one of my biggest fears for little ones in this house...and Brynn moves SO fast that you just can't take your eyes off her for a second. I'm off to buy a baby gate tomorrow - not that it will keep her out for long (there's not really any way to put it up on our stairs, but I've got to think of something).
Ethan and Brynn love playing together. When Brynn made her maiden voyage all the way up the stairs, I followed close behind her & Ethan did too. Ethan recognized that Brynn was getting a lot of attention for her achievement, so he decided that he would race her up the stairs...but crawling (as if that slows him down any). He passed her - which we all knew he would, but when he got to the top of the stairs, Brynn squealed and started moving faster, as if she was chasing him. They played together, laughs, squeals etc. for a while - that is until I broke up the party so that we could have dinner. I love to watch them enjoying each other so much.
