COMFORT

This morning, Scot had mentioned that I was feeling a little sad that I wouldn't get to talk to my Mom on Mother's Day. Ethan processed for a minute & then said :

E: Hey Mom, I love you. Can I pretend I'm your Gramma Lydia?

It was absolutely precious. What a tender heart that little boy has. He also kept mentioning different toys he has, and then would say "is that what you'd like me to give you for Mother's Day Mom?" One item he offered me was a green frog he got at the Urgent Care in SLC when we had to go get his eyebrown glued a few summers ago. That Ethan, he's a love.

I did receive the best surprise today though - aside from Scot going on a Mother's Day shopping extravaganza and coming home with flowers and other surprises, I heard Skype ringing & ran to pick up - only to find that it was my parents calling from Geneva, Switzerland! I wasn't sure that I'd get to talk to my mom at all until they get into their new place there in a couple weeks, but they were able to get a very small signal & thought they'd give it a try. We were able to talk for a few minutes before they lost the signal, but it was an absolute treat for all of us. Love you Mom!!! Hope you have a Happy Mother's Day away from home.
