WHEN WE'RE HELPING - WE'RE HAPPY

Ethan went over to our friends Linda & Bruce Hancock's house on Sat while Scot and I went to the Avs game with some friends. The moment we arrived, Ethan ran off to find Mugs, the monkey that Linda had shown him the one time we'd been to their house before. He went straight to the chest in Bruce & Linda's bedroom that it was kept in and pointed at it saying "monkey". Crazy memory this kid has. Then he was off to find Bruce, who was out working in the yard when we arrived. When Scot and I returned hours later, Ethan was happy as can be - pants off, running around wearing work gloves & playing with one of his favorite people. ( : So cute...I have no doubt that it was the best treat for him to have some time away from his parents. Odd how that works huh?

Tonight as I was rocking Ethan before bed, he looked up at me and said "Bruce working" and we had this little conversation:

"You had fun working with your friend Bruce in the yard huh?"
Big smile. "Ethan hammer"
"Bruce let you hammer? That was so much fun wasn't it"
"Yeah, Ethan hammer...again?"
"I'm sure sometime you'll get to go back and work with Bruce in the yard. Would you like that?"
"Yeah. Ethan hammer. Linda?"
"You love Linda don't you"
"Yeah. Linda. Bruce. Ethan."

So cute. He had so much fun with Linda Bruce & Eli. Thanks SO much for watching him...it was clearly a very memorable experience.
