ONE TOO MANY

Errands that is. I've been dragging Ethan around for days trying to finish all my nesting errands. He was so exhausted by the time we got to Costco today that he didn't even wake up after being taken out of his carseat, carried into the store & set down in the cart. I thought for sure he'd wake up when his head left my shoulder, but my poor child sat upright in the corner of the shopping cart like this for a few minutes - drawing the attention of passerbys by the dozens. Yup, I'm a great mom, wear the kid out and just keep on going. Labor doesn't wait for Costco people, I've got to get things done while I can.
On a more positive note, this is what he looked like minutes earlier during our Babies R Us stop. See, the day wasn't ALL bad. He'd seen kids riding this Dumbo ride and I promised him that if he was good, he could ride it on our way out. He held up his end of the deal and I was half way out to the car, trying to figure out what Ethan was saying through his waterfall of tears when he settled down enough to say "I want to ride the elephant". Oops. Naturally, we returned at once to fulfill my end of the bargain...and a bargain it was too.
