HAPPY EASTER!

Sunday, April 8: Ethan's first Easter was pretty low key...It actually snowed, which wasn't even part of the weekend forecast. (How the weatherman missed that large cold front that pushed in is beyond me). Ethan and I went to church & were able to sit in on most of the classes - I couldn't tell you much about the actual lessons that were taught, but it's a big step to even sit in the classroom - sigh. Scot stayed home with a massive headache and continued living in fear that he had contracted the hanta virus, more on this later.

The Easter bunny stopped off at out house with the outfit you see Ethan wearing (no candy this year...less tempting for the rest of us), but he dropped something EXTRA special off at Grandma and Grandpa Woolley's house. We went over there for dinner and the bunny was waiting - it sings "if you're happy and you know it" but claps the ears overhead instead of his hands. Ethan absolutely loved it and wanted it to play again and again. So cute. Hope you all enjoyed a very Happy Easter!

Now, a quick update on the Scot issue. Last night Scot decided to clean out one of his fishing bags that had been sitting in the garage since his trip last weekend with his Dad. It had been open out there for a couple days and then Scot closed it up and put it to the side until he could have a chance to go through and reorganize things. At any rate, he brought the bag into the family room to go through while we watched the movie Happy Feet (which by the way is FAR too political to be a children's movie - you can feel okay about skipping it if you haven't seen it yet). During the unpacking, Scot noticed that his bag of peanut M&M's had been spilling out and thought the bag must've broken open. He ate a some of the M&M's as he was cleaning out his bag, and then when he got to the bottom of the bag he saw some mouse droppings - NOT GOOD! I looked at the M&M bag and said "that didn't BREAK open - a mouse chewed it open". I hadn't eaten any M&M's, but I must say I felt sick just thinking about it. Scot immediately got scared that he was going to die from the hanta virus & so I called Ask a Nurse to get some sort of idea as to what we needed to look for. Scot and I were cleaning freaks & the scare gave us the incentive to bust out our carpet cleaner and do some deep cleaning. That room looks great now - thank to Stuart Little. I'm hoping he's not out there somewhere still.

The best thing about Sat. night prior to the hanta virus scare was this photo I got of Ethan and Scot...love it.
