THANKSGIVING

Ahhh yes, the event of the year that revolves completely around food. Genius. This year, we had Thanksgiving at Grandma Judie and Grandpa Steve's house...we had friends (Ben Ovard, a friend of ours who is going through a divorce), family (Sarah, Aunt Marcia, Lizzy, JD, Leah, David, Rachel and Great Grandma Jerri &Great Grandpa Bob as well as Grammy Margaret), and even Lizzy's new boyfriend, John. The food was fabulous. The company was entertaining...and the very best part was that I didn't overeat. All the makings of a perfect Thanksgiving.

After everyone finished eating, we gathered around the tv in the basement. What would Thanksgiving be without a good football game you ask? Just any old turkey dinner...but no, this was Thanksgiving and our Denver Broncos showed up to play today. YUP, that's right. Winner winner turkey dinner. As people freed enough room up for pie, they ate. I had been sitting at the dining room table talking to (Great) Grandpa Bob & Brynn came to sit in my lap...that is until Grandpa Steve entered the scene with a piece of pie.
Brynn slid off my lap and headed straight for Grandpa, who was kind enough to share with her. It was so cute, I could hardly capture the love and do it justice. It's little wonder why I love being around family.

Here are just a taste of some of the highlight:

Brynn was a little sweetie today. She happily spent time flirting with all the boys with her cute little "hi", shoulder
shrug, batting eyes, smiles and waves. It's just par for the course when you're around Brynn.
She also provided a little after dinner entertainment on the piano. Oddly enough,
Brynn's hair bow and Rachel's shirt coordinated perfectly.

Ethan adores his cousin Rachel, and for much of the day it was as though she was the only other person in attendance at the Thanksgiving festivities. As you will notice, Ethan had carefully packed his own firefighter costume in his backpack so that he would have it at Grandma & Grandpa's.
He went out on many rescue missions - typically after receiving incoming "calls" that "there was a situation". Our Ethan certainly has been blessed with a wonderful imagination.

I Love It! Very cute. Maybe Brynn and Lydia went to the same "flirting" classes.
