IRREGULAR BOWEL
I'll bet the title made you curious...for starters, this has nothing to do with my bowel (and if it did, I would reconsider the documentation. Feel free to read on). Tonight as we were nearing the end of dinner at Costa Vida, I carried Brynn with me to refill our drinks and as we were standing there, I heard Brynn let a little something rip. It certainly didn't sound like the makings of what I now would refer to as a "4 alarm fire" (i.e. emergency, drop everything you're doing and head off for an immediate diaper change). I have since learned not to judge a diaper simply by sound. Emergency indeed...it didn't quite rival our recent library experience yesterday (how could it?), but it did shoot out one side of the diaper and drip down her pantleg all the way down the leg of my jeans. I walked back over to our table as though nothing happened and grabbed for the back up outfit (which thankfully this time I had), wipes, diaper. The situation needed no explaination...Scot simply looked at the leg of my pants and said "We'll see you in a while." I got Brynn cleaned up and my pants wiped off & then picked Brynn up to go back out to the table, which was when she spit up all over the floor of the bathroom. There was nothing I could do but laugh, because it was funny people. I have come to the conclusion after all these years that poop is indeed funny...Brynn's irregularity problem isn't that she has trouble going, her bowels just seem to pack a punch. On that note, I'm off to spend some more quality time pre-treating stains and doing laundry.

Emma had a similar talent, but somehow I was never the recipient. My dad got it once, and our pediatrician (who claimed this had never happened to him). You have a much better sense of humor than I do, because I still don't think poop is funny. Maybe the potty training thing is still a little too fresh in my mind.
You might want to consider dressing Brynn in some sort of trash bag skirt... like the newborn gown that ties at the bottom.... just so you can tie it up and keep it all in the plastic bag:)
Oh my! Is this the kind of fun that I have to look forward to! Ahh! You handle things so calmly, i think i need to learn from you!
That was really funny! Isn't it great being a mom...peed and pooped and barfed on! I wouldn't trade it for the world!
