HAPPY HALLOWEEN

It is unbelievably warm for Halloween in Colorado today - a high of 75-77 degrees. You can imagine my excitement when it's typically FREEZING and more often than not since I've lived here, snowing too. We kicked off the festivities with a trip to the Wildlife Experience children's museum with Grandma Judie and Grandpa Steve. We went there last year with a few of my friends and their kids and thought it would be fun to go back this year. Ethan wasn't all that into gathering candy at all the booths (which is clearly what all the rest of the children were there for), he was more interested in running from exhibit to exhibit with Grandma Judie in tow. I must say, I had the easier job with Brynn cause once she fell asleep, it was smooth sailing for me. Grandpa Steve and I kept trying to find Grandma and Ethan, but they were moving so fast it was nearly impossible to keep track of them. It was as though someone had lit a fire underneath Ethan that could not be extinguished (Ba dum bum ching. I couldn't resist a fireman joke).

I was hoping to get a better photo of the fireman and his adorable dalmation sidekick together, but Ethan refused to dress up tonight and wanted nothing to do with trick or treating. That said, this is the only photo I got of the duo together. Bummer. To be honest, I was a little disappointed because it was the first Halloween that Ethan's been old enough to really CARE (which was clearly not the case) and it was such a nice night (60's). When you're the parent who has to go out trick or treating with your kids, you don't pass up nice weather like that...and more likely than not, we'll never have another Colorado Halloween this warm. Sigh. Ethan had the right idea though, he kept taking candy out of our treat bowl for himself. Smart kid. None of the work, all of the chocolate.
Happy Halloween to all.

If you could only go trick-or-treating for gloves...

They are way too cute! It truly was record there for weather! I think every Halloween that I can remember it snowed...hence the multiple years I was a skier for Halloween!
