HEY - LOOK AT THESE!

Ethan has a fascination with feet lately, and today he finally found his own. I watched him play with his feet for about 15 minutes after his bath this morning, and then I decided that we had some other things to get done. Apparently I had a fascination with his feet too.

I spent a some of the day moving the rest of Ethan's stuff upstairs to his nursery. We've had him in our room since he was born, and in hopes of preparing our house for future showings and a quick sale (we hope), we thought the time had come to make the big move. Our master bedroom is on the main floor, so we (I) thought it would be easier not to have to make the trek upstairs multiple times a night when he was born, but now he's sleeping for longer stretches which should make the transition a bit easier.

Today was a beautiful day - the total opposite from the blizzard we had yesterday. Our neighbor Eric and his son Logan were out building snow forts and tunnels in the massive amounts of perfect packing snow. I thought of Indiana and the 2 forts we built between our house and the Eckelman's for a snowball fight and the igloo fort Jared built in our front yard. Oh, to be a kid again (or at least have kids that could appreciate a snowday like today).

When Scot pulled up tonight, Ethan and I were outside talking to our neighbor Ross who rescued us with his snowblower last night & saved me from endless hours of shoveling. Ethan was so happy to see his dad - I realize you can't see the joy on his face in that picture, but my guess is that he was still trying to get a feel for his new winter coat. (Yes, it's a little big - we're hoping that it will last him through the winter).

We tried to give him the opportunity to make a snow angel, but the snow is so heavy that he didn't even make an indent. The picture reminds me of the kid in the Christmas story "I can't put my arms down". Sigh- someday Ethan, someday.

I'm off to bed, hopefully I'll get to stay in it for a little while tonight. We shall see.

*This was my second time writing this blog...I must've knocked something under the desk and disconnected the internet. Not knowing, I pushed publish and lost everything. BUMMER!
