Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mother's that are a part of my life (not that I feel like you all ACT like my mother...but my mom is fabulous so it wouldn't be a bad thing, right mom?). Grandma Hansen, Mom, Suzanne, Camille, Becky, Angela, Sarah (future mother...), Grandma Madden, Judie, Cara, Roberta & Tiffany but to name a few. I feel blessed to have you all in my life & hope that you are all well celebrated today. Special thanks to my amazing mom (& Scot's too) today - you are a wonderful example to me & I love you so much.
We had a great day - Ethan made me a delicious breakfast (ok, so I made it - but it was still good). Ethan was on the move at church today...it was as though he wanted to make me work. ( : During R.S. he was walking down the row in front of me (it was empty) and I could see under the chairs that his shorts had fallen down around his ankles - quite a show. Apparently he's too thin for his pants, but that problem won't end anytime soon. He's a huge hit with all the girls at church & as I was told, he is the favorite of many because he makes so many great faces. He's a flirt already - YIKES.
Tonight we had Judie & Steve as well as Grandma & Grandpa Madden over for Mother's Day dinner. Everything was delicious - your choice of steak and/or honey ginger chicken, oven roasted potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, fruit & dessert. Scot manned the grill & did a fabulous job. Ethan entertained everyone and kept an eye on Grandma Madden all through dinner. (The photo is clearly not from tonight - it's from Ethan's blessing day, but it contained the entire dinner party, so I went with it).
Ethan took 4 steps unassisted tonight and continues to seem mor
e steady on his feet all the time. Are we really ready for him to walk? Probably not, but I don't know that we have much of a choice at this point. Grandma Judie had Ethan sporting the Pollo Loco (for those of you who don't habla Espanol, it's the crazy chicken) hat tonight - yup, we're starting him young.
I was able to talk to Grandma Hansen tonight & it sounds like she was well celebrated for both Mother's Day AND her Birthday today. Happy 87th
Birthday Grandma!! We certainly do love you & look forward to seeing you when we're in Boise in a couple weeks.
That's it for me tonight. Love to all my favorite Mother's.
